Health and Fitness – Category #1
Yesterday I signed up for a semi-free self-development course online. You pay $500 and commit to doing some homework for 6 weeks. If you fulfill all the requirements they reimburse 100% of your money. Risky, perhaps, especially for those who struggle with stability and discipline. Seemed like I had much to win and little to lose. Today is day one of the first week. Halfway through listening to the videos and all done with answering to the homework questions.
Below are my notes from the video and below that you will find the answer to my homework questions.
Health & Fitness Category
This approach aims to explore your health and fitness from a new perspective. Define exactly what you want, why you want it, and what you need to do to get it.
Staying healthy is an act of gratitude and responsibility. The human body is sacred. If we don’t find time for health we’ll have to find it for illness.
Everyone has experience here but it hasn’t been good for most. We try and fail to make lasting change in such an important area. There is too much noise, confusion, contradictions, and broken promises. Thousands of ads, before and after pics. We buy but don’t get the results we are looking for. We tried everything and now we are jaded, but can’t lose hope. Stuck on a cycle of failure and low self-esteem, vulnerable to more promises. We have all been there.
Deep thinking about our life helps find clarity about what we believe about health and fitness. Get clarity on what you want and why you want it. Then get an action plan to make it a reality. Focus on your beliefs, motivations, and strategies. Take responsibility for this area of your life. Breakthrough to lasting positive change by supporting this change with other changes. Maybe we need to work on our discipline, determination or confidence.
See the vision of the person you want to become. Explore the idea of the body as a temple, the greatest gift ever given, treat it accordingly. We need our bodies for adventures, amazing sex and a long life with a partner. We need a healthy body to play with our kids. We need to be an example of how to take care of our bodies so that they take care of theirs. We need energy for a successful career and a wealthy life. Higher levels of health and fitness will help in every category of life. It will help with integration and alignment, it helps us connect and deal with the world.
Health effects how we think, feel, how we see ourselves and how others see us. Health and fitness help with everything else, it sets the stage for success. This process is simple but not easy. Remove the confusion, it all depends on what you put into your body and how you use it.

2) Self-care is my priority that is the first part of my day, every day. I create all the time I need to feel good, energized and motivated to be in the world and create positive change.
3) I am actively asking for what I need, the support and the materials I need for self-care. If I am feeling down, self-care becomes the priority. I’m supplementing my regular practice and self-care with all forms of fun, fulfilling and rewarding practices that make my body feel good.
4) I honor myself, trust myself, listen to myself, speak up, ask for what I need, make boundaries and protect them.
Focusing on New Empowering Beliefs
At the end of the homework we were asked to answer the following question:
What limiting BELIEFS did you discover? What are your new empowering beliefs?
I used to think that my health and fitness levels where most out of my control. That I didn’t know what was good for me or how to get it. I used to think I didn’t deserve to feel good and that others are more important than me. That I should make sacrifices for them. Now I know health is a priority for me, an essential aspect of my life that must be honored every moment of every day.
