Reviewing Financial Life & Career
We are well past the halfway point of this Lifebook program. This week being by far the most triggering for me. We are working with our financial life and career, two of the categories most people seem to struggle with. For me, this is more than a sore spot in my life. In my past, I found myself in situations where I was unable to work, unable to get paid or simply rejected from multiple job opportunities.
Over time, I created the career I wanted for myself, mixing all the areas of my life to figure out the best way for me to live and work. Now that I have a clear vision, it is time to make it happen. There is no more room for excuses. I know I can do this, and I will.
Learning and Improving
All the information we need is at our fingertips. We just need to learn and know how to navigate it. Only we can know what we need to learn or who we need to ask for the information we may need. It is common to have insecurity and shame around this topic. Our culture has messed this up big time, but we can turn around and improve our spiritual relationship with money. We need to make a philosophical shift. We need to see the process of wealth creation and making money as a creative necessary function for humans. We are not greedy, bad people do bad things, we can enrich ourselves by creating value for people around me. The pursuit of wealth is a spiritual and moral pursuit that can lead to self-actualization and make the world a better place.
The key is to listen to our intuition. We must know what works for us and what resonates in our life. What is the path we want to follow in our pursuit of wealth and happiness? The abundant mentality is about serving and bringing to the table, to create value for the Self by developing the self. The mentality of lack only leads down. Investing should be an extension of who we are instead of means to get money. Financial advisors should know about the philosophy of money and use it accordingly.
Intuition is a high-level internal response to external influences. It mixes the mind, emotion, and spirit. For this, we need clarity and time to hear. Find the books and teachers that resonate with you. Be responsible for what you need to learn. Get a few toes in the water and try things out. Consume the information you want, choose wisely, don’t get stuck on things that don’t work for you.
How Much Money do I Need
Get clear on your life vision and find out how much that will cost you. Look at the exact life you want to live, and then find out how much it will cost. Learn what exactly it is that you want and then you can get it.
Remember that a painting can be sold for half a billion dollars. You can also lose everything at any moment. You might be shocked to know you don’t need as much money as you think you do. Life is easier than you think. We can always make more money than we need. Financial freedom is making more than you spend. Look at all the categories and find out what you need to satisfy all your needs and manifest all visions. Go down each category and find out how much it will cost.
Money, being a form of energy, needs to move or it stagnates and stops producing. When money moves it generates more, we need money and wealth to circulate. We must reward ourselves for the work we do, by spending money on things we deserve, and by this, we bless others by sharing our wealth with them.
Advice on Creating Your Own Business
The path to wealth and doing our own thing can be gratifying and make the world a better place. Remember though, entrepreneurship is challenging and most businesses fail after a few years of opening. Focus on conscious capitalism, it can be gratifying and make the world a better place. Remember though, businesses are like chains, if one piece fails, the whole thing fails.
First, be careful about turning your hobby into your business. It may seem like the best job in the world, to do what you love and make money at it. Be careful with that, you may end up doing everything but yoga. Don’t let your hobby turn into a curse. Entrepreneurship can be incredibly hard but if you can pull it off, there is nothing better. Start simple, plan the seeds, low cost, overhead low. The key metrics are sales, revenue, and cost. Be sure to try things first before committing into it. If you are a creator and artist, find a partner who can ride with you and focus on the business sides of things. Find people that love doing the things you don’t. We need a confident partner that can fill in around us. Be clear about your service, value proposition and the message to deliver it. Once you start, there is no going back and you won’t know all that is wrong until you start.
Always be sure your health and fitness are on point, and that your financial life won’t suffer from a rough road on entrepreneurship.
More important, quiet your mind and find out what you need, then look into it, feel it out and if it feels right, go all in. Once you feel comfortable, choose your path and go deep into it. Do what works, and don’t stop doing what works. Always keep an eye to see what works best.
Doing Our Part
Wealth must first be created, humans create wealth, without us it does not exist. Have a profound impact on people’s lives and you will create a huge amount of wealth. People who are experiencing poverty need all of us to create wealth in this world and invite them to be part of it. Society, humanity and poor people need us to create wealth and a surplus for ourselves so we can do things and share the wealth with other people.
Material wealth has been bad-mouthed in the east and west. Do not go after money, go after value. Create value for your fellow human beings, that is the spiritual quest. Make the world a better place.
There are many ways to make lots of money, follow your heart.
Resolving the Sales Conflict
Learning to sell is important no matter what you do. Some people are audio learners others like to attend groups, other people like to join networking and mastermind groups. Sales mean to get people emotionally involved in what you want to see happen. Convey the value of what you do in a compelling way to get people emotionally involved. Learn how to do that. Creating is divine, sales are also divine, learn to enjoy it, it is essential to your success. Join networking groups.
Sales mean explaining what we have to offer in an authentic way. Simply tell people what I got, what I do, and what it will do for them. Love everything you do and offer to people, know it, be passionate about it and talk about it. Love it, use it, share it. Sales are sharing with others what you have to offer and asking for value exchange in return. Define your needs, see what is available, learn what resonates and go all in. Realize, selling in the internet is different than face to face, but it has never been easier than it is now. Digital content lasts forever, keeps costs low, innovate.
Making Decisions and Knowing What We Want
Never stay on a job you hate, but remember, your career is meant to fund the rest of your life. Find something that is fulfilling, enjoyable to do, but not necessarily the most awesome job in the world. Get your paycheck, get leisure time, pursue interest and passion outside your job, or not. There are two opposite ways of going about it. Choose what you want, what feels right? Teaching is my career, entrepreneurship is my creative expression, music is my passion.
Remember, personal development and self-discovery is enlightenment, it’s learning about ourselves and how to live rightfully as we are, it won’t look the same for everyone. We all have our own path to travel. Keep asking your questions. Find out what turns you on, what is your purpose in life? What are the things that move you, inspire you, excite you, fascinate you, that give you energy and make you feel a certain way. Pay attention to how it feels and what happens inside of you. Experimentation is important, but it should be a fun road, play in different areas and engage in life. Be ready to fall back and get back up, we are made for this.
Find your purpose to have clarity and a decision-making framework, so you can make choices based on that. Do not waste time or energy outside of that purpose. Know what you are going after and what will distract you. Follow your curiosity, your excitement, and your heart. Do micro experiments, try things in small amounts.
How to Deal with Burnout
Everyone will feel the punch of life, recalibrating, rest, relaxation, is all essential. Self-care is essential. Claim your motivation but do not force it. Rhythms are personal, some like to have two full-free days a week to rest and rejoice outside of all work. Some people like to take long weekends off. Others like to take full breaks of 2 or 3 weeks every year, others like to work so hard that they can no longer work.
Go on a vision quest, go into nature, no technology, nothing but nature, four days, four nights, no food, just water, sleep on the ground, no input of any kind but nature. Remember, mother nature heals, just be in it. Get a tent, go in nature and fast while you are at it.
Get also in the rhythm of working, know when to turn on and when to turn off. Turn computers off, stop talking about work, choose your time. Don’t get on the computer or phone past 6 pm. Take time off to clean up and that will bring space to fill up with the new. Massage and bodywork are glory healers, let yourself rejoice in them, use them and share with others. Massage and bodywork are for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. Let yourself empty out and delayer, incense and candles, bodywork with love, let yourself let go, empty out, eradicate all problems from consciousness, go to sleep like that and you’ll be refilled in the morning. Release it to the universe, most problems can be fixed overnight, just by letting go of them and letting yourself relax. Self-care is the best way to live life. Remember water is purifying, salt puts toxins out of the body.
If you kick ass all day, you need to rest up in the evening, release and balanced life. Get a self-care program in place, if you want to give give give, you need to rest up. Do not let yourself drain out. SELF-CARE FOR THE FUTURE. Burnout is a serious issue, do what keeps you well. Do not resort to damage control.
Working on All Categories
Work on what is in front of you. Do not let yourself be overwhelmed. Go through the categories, make a draft of your Lifebook, define what you believe, what you want, why you want it and what you need to do to make it happen. Take all categories and roll them up into one.
